Lesson Schedule:

Private lessons are either 30 or 45 minutes in length and are held weekly at the student’s scheduled time.

Practice

Students are expected to practice a minimum of 3-4 hours per week. I recommend practicing 30-45 minutes 6 days per week. It is helpful to develop a routine of practicing at the same time each day.

Lesson Fees:

Lesson fees are $22.00 for each 30 minute private lesson and $32.00 for each 45 minute lesson. Fees, payable in advance of lessons, are to be paid during the first week, for the entire month. A late charge of $10.00 will be assessed if fees are not paid within the first seven days of the month. Students are allowed two vacation credits throughout the year. Please make check payable to Carol Smith.

Enrichment Classes:

Music enrichment classes are offered periodically. These include performance, theory games, and composition group courses.  Two to three times per year, classes will be offered in lieu of a private lesson for the week. Several classes are offered to accommodate busy family schedules.

Missed Lessons:

Students will not be charged for using two vacation credits during the year for cancelled lessons. If you wish to cancel a lesson, please call at least 24 hours prior to the lesson. Any other missed lessons will be made up at the teacher’s discretion, depending on the student’s need and time available. If a student cannot attend the lesson due to illness, please contact me by noon of the day of the lesson.

Drop off and pick up:

Please arrive promptly at your designated lesson time.  It is extremely important that your children not be dropped off early or picked up late from lessons.  Due to my ever-changing schedule, I am unable to ensure that I will always be home should students arrive early or be picked up late.  Your child’s welfare and safety are my biggest concerns with this issue.
